Update

I've been really bad at blogging and I'm not sure why but I'm going to try to get better.

Two Sundays ago was our church plant commissioning service at GEBC. I basically balled my eyes out for about 5 hours but its okay, God is taking care of me. It was very hard to leave the place I'd called "home" for 16 years. A place with a lot of memories and trials as I grew into the person I am today.

This last week, we met at 10am and canvassed a nearby neighborhood in pairs and just shared about the church and an event we had coming up. It was nerve-wracking at first but we finally settled in after half a block. We then had church at 4 in the afternoon while we are sharing a building with another small church. It was very odd to have church in the afternoon but definitely a neat experience. I can't wait to see what it's like in the future. If you live in the area and would like to visit, let me know and I'll get you the info! :)

Finally, I am waiting patiently for the openings to be announced for my district for teaching positions next year. I'm excited because there will be 4 in my building alone and hopefully I can stay there! :)

New Year, New Life!

That's my theme for the year! New Year, New Life!

I'm looking ahead to the year. The year consists of new church, new job (in some capacity), new digs...maybe, use of new car, new knowledge about myself, new relationships, if my hair grows enough for LOCKS OF LOVE--a new hair-do, and basically everything NEW!!!!!!! :)

It's going to be a challenging yet great year...I can feel it. I know that's a cheesy cliche but I truly feel that way. I can't even imagine what I will be saying when it is 2011 about the past year! I am excited about some opportunities that God is opening up doors for--at least at the moment!

Aquaerobics

Ok, so you may be asking...what the heck is that? Well, it's a class at my gym where you do aerobics in the water (aqua-). I took the class with my mom and grandma tonight. It was an hour long and by far, the most exercise I've done in quite a while. It was totally awesome though. I can tell that I might be SORE tomorrow...I'll have to wait and see.

Horrid day to be a Bears fan!

What a horrible day to be a Bears fan. I don't think I've ever been as humiliated by my Bears as I was today. Tomorrow is a new day and I can't wait. To all those who make fun of me...you can this time but beware....when your team has an off-day....it's all game! :)

Oh well....at least that's not all I have to hope for my future...I have eternal LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wong/Heavey Wedding

Okay, so on Sunday I went to a wedding for some really good friends of mine. I loved it! It was one of the first of my friends weddings where I actually knew at least an entire table of people at the reception! We partied and danced til we couldn't anymore. Church Plant

The church plant is full steam as we look forward to our March 7th opening date. We have many of our ministry teams formed or forming as we speak. I am a part of the youth and worship ministries. I'm more and more excited as the day gets closer. We have a name.....Four Corners Community Church. I look forward to sharing more with you as the next few months go by.

Quick Update

Since I last wrote, I have gotten an aide job with 3rd grade, joined a new church plant womens' small group, am leading a church plant high school girls' small group and my other girls' small group has started. I'm trying to make sure that I am keeping balance. I have also worked out at the gym 5 times in the last two weeks and ran a 5K. Hope all is well with you. I shall be back soon!
